Chiara Taranto’s Talk: AI Supporting Surgical Kit Reassembly
One of the most significant moments of Promedital’s participation was the speech by Chiara Taranto, Business Development Manager of the company. On December 4, she delivered a presentation titled:
“AI-Powered Smart Table for Surgical Kit Reassembly in Sterilization Centers.”
In her talk, Chiara explained how integrating artificial intelligence into the processes of reassembling surgical kits can represent a paradigm shift for CSSDs (Central Sterile Services Departments).
The Smart Table that was presented introduces a new operational model based on:
- intelligent instrument recognition,
- real-time decision support for operators,
- reduced reassembly errors,
- complete traceability,
- optimized workflows.
This solution is designed to increase safety, efficiency, and quality, especially in a context where the complexity of surgical sets and operational demands are constantly growing.
