Vortrom

Vortrom is a company specialising in technological solutions for the industrial and healthcare sectors, with a strong focus on digital innovation and efficient production process management.
The collaboration with Promedital was established with the aim of testing and validating new technologies for the acquisition and traceability of images of surgical sets on loan for use, which can be integrated with the management systems already in use.

The challenge

Vortrom had expressed the need to test a system that would allow surgical sets to be digitised and tracked through automatic photographic acquisition, with the aim of integrating them into its corporate ERP.

The main challenges included:

  • Test the functionality of the EVA prototype in a real operating environment.
  • Verify the quality and accuracy of the images acquired for cataloguing the sets.
  • Study the possibility of direct integration with the internal management system.

Proposed solution

Promedital supplied and installed EVA, a prototype for the automatic acquisition of images of surgical sets, provided on loan for use during the trial phase.

The aim was to enable Vortrom to:

  • Capture and digitally archive high-quality images of sets.
  • Associate visual data with inventory codes and logistical information.
  • Integrate the captured images into the company’s ERP system, optimising materials management.

During the initial phase, technical assistance was provided for software configuration and initial photographic testing sessions. However, the project was not completed as not all the technical specifications necessary for full system integration were provided.
